What’s a bunny to do?įortunately for us readers, Jasper was written as a very clever and capable character. He’s feeling good, he’s ready for bed, he turns out the light, and all is well.īut it is not until he is alone at night in the pitch black of his room that he realizes that it is really dark – even if he is a big rabbit. Resolved, Jasper takes an extreme measure and finally succeeds in preventing the undies from coming back. He literally packs them up and sends them to China, cuts them up into little pieces, but shockingly and creepily - they keep coming back! Each time the creepy underwear returns, it elicits more and more delighted and slightly scared squeals and giggles from its readers. When Jasper comes home from school he hears scraping and scratching… and it is coming from his dresser! Impossibly, he finds the creepy pair of underwear is back! This won’t do. Whew! Jasper and his readers can now breathe a sigh of relief.
